GDC Student Support Key Objective
Our key objective at GDC is to give all students access to high-quality courses while fostering functional, inclusive practices. An inclusive college culture implies that all members of every community are respected and given the assistance they need so they can fully engage, learn, grow, and thrive.
At GDC, we are implementing a comprehensive education agenda to provide students with more individualised assistance, direction, guidance and resources. Our goal is to remove obstacles to access and participate in learning while promoting the inclusion of all students with additional needs. Inclusion benefits all. Student’s with additional needs (SWANS), as well as students without additional needs, benefit academically and socially from interacting and participating in inclusive settings.
Academic Advising and Career Counselling
It can be challenging to navigate the opportunities and difficulties of study on your own. At GDC, we are proud to offer each student the opportunity to talk to someone who has been there about your thoughts, ideas and concerns around your current and future learning experiences. It may even be possible to speak with an academic staff member in your faculty to exchange ideas, discuss your objectives and passions, and resolve any difficulties.
Career counsellors can assist you in evaluating, comprehending, and choosing various practical work prospects. At GDC, it is our responsibility to listen to your concerns, help you think more clearly about future career choices and assist you to explore any options you may have (so you can focus on writing a winning resume and cover letter).
At GDC, we are able to provide useful practical information, such as the degree and/or skill requirements for a certain employment, vacancies in the job market domestically and abroad, assist you in writing your resume and cover letter and even set up a mock job interview. All of these services are provided to help you “Take Charge Of Your Future.”
International Study Visa Assistance
For our international students, leaving your home and living in a different country is a stressful challenge. At GDC, we want to assist you in making this process as smooth as possible. GDC has an extensive network agent that can help you obtain a study visa. All you need to do is fill in the online enquiry form, and a friendly member from the GDC will assist you with a clarity call.
Accommodation and Living Assistance
Studying and living away from home can be challenging and worrying for you and your family. This is because living away from home, especially in another country, has unique challenges. These challenges can be with accommodation, food shopping, transport, and so on.
At GDC, we want our students and their families to feel that they have safe and secure accommodation and assistance with everyday living. If eligible, GDC may be able to assist you in accessing Australian Government or State accommodation assistance in Australia.
